The Civic Joins Forces With Underneath The Stars Festival 2016
This summer Underneath the Stars Festival returns to the stunning scenery of South Yorkshire for a weekend of art, music, food and drink from Friday 22 July - Sunday 24 July.
The 2016 Underneath the Stars Festival will again host another star studded line-up featuring the UK’s leading folk singer Kate Rusby as well as internationally renowned blues, rock, world, jazz, swing and acoustic music performers.
The Civic is delighted to confirm that we have joined forces with the UTSf team and will be selling tickets on our website, as well as providing some activity at Cannon Hall Farm over the festival weekend.
Past festival line-ups have included performers such as, Mary Chapin Carpenter, Richard Thompson, Philip Selway, Molotov Jukebox, The Puppini Sisters, Adrian Edmondson’s The Bad Shepherds, Sarah Jarosz, Hope & Social, Martin Simpson, Bruce Molsky and The Treacherous Orchestra. The festival is set to bring an incredible list of talent to the small but perfectly formed Barnsley hills and the site at Cannon Hall Open Farm. UTS festival will once again provide visitors with the best in entertainment and atmosphere for a superb weekend whether you’re a seasoned festival goer or a complete newcomer.
In addition to a stellar musical line-up the festival site will be packed with a whole host of family activities including a Giant Planetarium Dome, hands on creative crafts, street theatre, storytelling, music & dance workshops and quality artisan craft traders. Of course no festival is complete without some fine food & drink, at UTS festival we will have our hand-picked selection of delicious street food vendors from across the Yorkshire region, as well as a fabulous real ale bar with a focus on quality local drinks producers.
The UTSf campsite is situated in adjoining fields so it’s only a short walk from all the action and boasts free hot showers for all weekend campers.
