Puppetry pioneers Monstro Theatre present musical Bookstory about the ever-changing nature of learning: the library is in a muddle, and only the books can save it... for book lover aged 5 and up.

In 1936, Speedway star Clem "Dare Devil" Beckett joined others to fight with the Spanish people to defend democracy against Franco's fascist armies. Supported by Barnsley Trades Council, Civic regulars Townsend Productions celebrate the 80th Anniversary commemorations of the Spanish Civil War.

For all you circus lovers out there, The Civic brings you a weekend of circus antics, clowning and acrobatics like you've never seen before.
Gasp! is a circus show of extraordinary physical finesse with french artists Circoncentrique. In this beautiful and original show, two fearless young men compete in a thrilling game of physical endurance set to live music. Defying gravity, they take you on an acrobatic journey full of endless surprises as they perform amazing tricks with balls, spheres and a huge metal wheel.

Circus Detective, a murder mystery for over 8's is both irreverent and hilarious. Shifting Sands Theatre and Sheffield-based Greentop Community Circus present a feast of clowning, circus and film as an unlikely hero searches for clues to reveal a killer!

And finally, pop on down to The Civic at the end of November for a craft fair with a difference and a musical extravaganze guaranteed to delight and astonish all who come along!
