Artist Showcase: Gallons Of Ink
The gallery at The Civic hosts their latest edition of Apothecarium, Barnsley’s very own alternative craft market, catering for fans of all things gothic, steampunk, vintage, retro and geek Saturday 26th November. It’s the perfect opportunity to find that unique gift for Christmas, while also supporting local independent businesses and craftsmakers.
To coincide with this season’s Apothercarium, the gallery will now be showcasing the talents of a different local artist or designer in a pop-up shop in the box office every season. The new initiative starts on Sat 26th Nov with Worsbrough illustrator and designer Chloe McGann, who works under the name Gallons of Ink.
Chloe will be exhibiting a selection of greetings cards, prints, totes and hand-painted mugs and tea bag tidys, each with themes as wide ranging as Star Wars, dinosaurs, pugs and Game of Thrones. The Star Wars themed products have proved especially popular with orders recently being shipped out all over the world via Chloe’s etsy site. The impending release of the next film in the Star Wars saga will mean that these are perfect for the tea-drinking Star Wars fan in your life.
So pop into The Civic and have a look in the pop-up shop for the perfect-stocking filler this festive season.
