A breath-taking, witty and slick circus show is playing at The Civic
The Civic will be showing an awe-inspiring, funny and skillful circus show for all the family to enjoy this Friday.
“A thrilling setting that captures all audiences from the start.” Barcelona Reviews
Celebrating Circus 250, which marks 250 years since the first ever circus, The Civic has another amazing performance rolling up. Following daredevil parkour across the town with Kapow; entertaining performances for families featuring a giant lobster at The Civic Garden Party; and visually stunning circus from Barely Methodical performing Shift in September; The Civic are excited to introduce their next circus act.
Stepping in to the ring this week is Spanish based circus troupe, Eia. The hugely acclaimed and award-winning troupe embark on their debut tour of the UK with their critically lauded show InTarsi, in a performance that shows how we’re not so different after all.
Breath-taking acrobatics, gravity-defying feats and anatomically twisting contortions combine with wit, humour and slick choreography to create a mesmerising, embracing and captivating spectacle which demonstrates that there is more that unites us than divides us.
“Remarkable” Circus Talk
In this exciting show four guys hang out, tease and play with each other on an ingenious set that is constantly moving and changing. Sometimes they work together and sometimes against one another, but in the end, they are connected by a strong bond that is their common humanity.
“…a rollercoaster of tension and adrenaline, of nervousness and expectation” Barcelona Review
inTarsi asks questions about how people relate to each other, how we can be lonely in a crowd or feel completely connected when we are all alone. The performers bond with audiences old and young alike, by creating light-hearted reflections in which we can all recognise ourselves and see each other.
