Front of House Supervisor

An exciting opportunity has arisen to support The Civic’s active Operations department. The post holder will provide critical delivery of a variety of events including conferences, wedding receptions and awards ceremonies. They will also regularly duty manage the Front of House for the Civic’s acclaimed performance programme and cover box office and reception duties. The successful candidate will be highly organised, have excellent customer service skills and a passion for the arts.

Responsible to: Front of House Manager and Head of Operations

Responsible for: Box Office Assistants and Casual Front of House Assistants.

Liaison with: Head of Finance, Technical and Marketing staff.

Salary: £19,209 per annum

Annual Leave:  26 days plus bank holidays

Full Time: 35 Hours a week

Commission opportunity: A new performance for young audiences aged 3-7.

For the 6th consecutive year ARC and The Civic are seeking to commission the creation of a new piece of work for 3-7 year olds to be presented at the venues in spring half term 2021 (w/c 15 Feb 2021)

Join the Civic family and help us on the way to becoming the leading combined arts centre in the North of England.

Whether you would like the experience of supporting your local arts centre or would simply like to meet new people – we have volunteering opportunities to suit all. Even in the post-Covid climate, we are still able to support people who want to volunteer.

Over the next few months, our volunteer roles will be supporting our Visual Art team, with the roles including invigilating our gallery spaces, welcoming visitors to our exhibitions and responding to any queries they may have.

All volunteers will receive training about the venue, our visual arts programme and appropriate PPE.
