Joan Miró: Prints
Joan Miró (b. Barcelona, 1893 – 1983.), Influenced by various movements – Fauvism, Cubism and Dadaism – in his early years and particularly associated with the Surrealists, Miró stood apart from other members of the movement, through his innovation in the field of abstraction, his use of universal signs and symbols and his association with vivid colours.
He made many prints throughout his career and this collection of twelve lithographs, woodcuts and etchings explore how through printing and publishing limited editions, he made the buying of art by a ‘master’ artist accessible and democratic.
All work on display is available to own. In association with Goldmark Art.
