Record Cover Lino-Cut Workshop

Bring along your favourite record sleeve and learn how to make a lino-cut print of it under the guidance of Sheffield artist Saskia Palmer in a full day workshop. Fee includes all materials, refreshments and a 30 minute break. By the end of the day, you will have learned new skills and have created the unique gift for the music lover in your life – or yourself!
This workshop is suitable for both experienced printmakers and absolute beginners, but is a definite must for music-lovers.

Sheffield-based artist Saskia Palmer has a background in traditional portraiture and a strong drawing style which is evident in her linocut print designs. Her work offers an insight into the unique quirks of British class, music and popular culture using humour, pathos and nostalgia. Influences include comic books, Pop and street art, the Arts & Crafts movement, Hogarth, Hergé and numerous classical artists. In recent work Saskia has indulged her love of portraiture with a series of linocut print portraits of female musicians.
