Local photographer Gavin Joynt has been collaborating with artist Marcus Rowlands to create ‘Reflection on Space’.
The new work they have created for this exhibition stems from the processes and the photography they have been exploring for over a year. They have purposely chosen not to use computer manipulation, to create reflections of different locations, environments and light. Instead they have been creating their own set of handmade lenses to change the way landscapes and fictional spaces are interpreted.
They are working with an innovative process of applying print dye directly into the surface of metal. This allows the artwork in ‘Reflection on Space’ to obtain a luminosity and beauty that has been specially made to enhance interior spaces.
